In recent years Cloud burst, tsunami, flood and fire in large area, earth quack are taking place regularly this is dangerous for civilization.

Chosen Answer:

It is not clear that there has actually been any change. The influences on our preception of change are manifold.

Firstly, the increased rate of reporting in the media. A couple of hundred years ago, no-one would have heard of a flood or fire or major disaster on the other side of the world.

Secondly, the population of the planet has increased exponentially. So what would have been a minor incident 200 years ago will kill many more people.

Thirdly, in the search for quick and easy solutions to problems of housing and food shortage, people will build and farm in flood plains and put up flimsy houses. The devastation caused by hurricanes in the southern states of the USA almost always involves trailer-parks.

Finally (but there are lots more) our collective memories are only as good as the eldest people we know. I benefit from nearly 60 years of experience. I live in Scotland and can remember rains that lasted longer than any we’ve had in the past 40 years, flooding that was worse, hurricanes with higher winds, etc, etc.

So, there is no proof that it’s getting worse, but that doesn’t stop horrendous natural disasters occuring.

Don’t build in flood zones if you can help it. If your fertile plain is a flood zone, build your house on stilts. Devise prediction warnings for tsunamis. If you must build in hurricane areas then either build your house from stone or make it disposable and have shelters to hide in. Oddly, ancient societies knew these things, but we seem to have forgotten.

On the hurricanes, the winds in Scotland were over 100 miles per hour in 1968 – gusting to 120mph – 160kph/200kph, yet ‘only’ 20 people died and homlessness came from the occasional chimney falling in or roof being ripped off. Had it happened in a typical Oklahoma township it would have been far worse.
